idverde wins Principal Award for Grounds Maintenance at the 2023 BALI Awards
idverde has been awarded a Principal Award at the 2023 British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) National Landscape Awards, recognising the exceptional grounds maintenance delivered at The Regent's Park in London.
The award was presented during the BALI National Landscape Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Recognition for excellence in grounds maintenance.
idverde’s work at The Regent’s Park received the Principal Award in the Grounds Maintenance – Free Public Accesscategory.
Principal Awards are presented to projects that demonstrate the highest standards of excellence within their category.
The Regent’s Park is one of five Royal Parks managed by idverde and has been maintained on behalf of The Royal Parkssince June 2014. Covering 395 acres, the Grade I listed park is one of London’s most visited green spaces and has held Green Flag status every year since 2005.
The park is home to London’s largest collection of roses, a boating lake, sports facilities, and extensive public open spaces.
Recognition for innovation and partnership.
In their citation, the BALI judges recognised the team’s commitment to innovation, biodiversity, and skills development.
They highlighted the approach to planting design, regeneration of planting beds, support for apprenticeships, and initiatives that promote biodiversity. The judges also praised the close partnership between idverde and The Royal Parks, recognising the importance of building teams with the right skills, passion, and expertise.
The judges concluded that the consistently high standard of maintenance across the park was a testament to the dedication of everyone involved.
