In 2025, idverde contributed to the transformation of Challans town centre through a major urban greening project designed to create a more welcoming, resilient, and enjoyable public space.
Reimagining the heart of Challans.
Nature was placed at the heart of the redevelopment, with the planting of trees, shrubs, and perennials, the creation of new lawns, and the introduction of cooling green spaces to improve urban comfort.
The project also incorporates sustainable water management through a landscaped retention basin featuring stepping stones, combining environmental performance with high-quality public realm design. As part of a circular economy approach, reclaimed timber street furniture was also installed. Having been established in Challans for more than 30 years, idverde’s local teams are proud to have contributed to the town centre’s transformation.
The works included the greening of public spaces, extensive tree, shrub and perennial planting, the creation of cooling green areas, the landscaping of a sustainable water management basin, and the installation of reclaimed street furniture.
