Redevelopment of IUT de Toulon.

In 2025, idverde's Côte d'Azur teams contributed to the transformation of the University Institute of Technology (IUT) of Toulon as part of a major redevelopment project combining construction, landscape design, and ecological restoration.

The project has created a more sustainable, functional and welcoming environment around a new 6,800 m² contemporary building, complemented by a central courtyard, a suspended planted terrace and a 7,000 m² landscaped park.

The external works included the construction of concrete seating terraces and benches, an innovative timber walkway installed on screw piles without the use of concrete, the installation of outdoor furniture, and the creation of a sustainable attenuation basin for rainwater management.

The landscape scheme placed a strong emphasis on biodiversity, preserving 36 existing trees, transplanting five mature specimens, and planting 74 new trees, 4,261 perennials and 2,625 shrubs to create a greener, more comfortable campus environment.

The project delivered a comprehensive package of landscape works, including public realm improvements, extensive planting, urban furniture, timber and concrete structures, and sustainable drainage infrastructure.
